In the first place, it should be noticed that we cannot give a concrete response to the elephant domestication in the Southeast Asia although this type of animals has been used since the Metal Age in European countries. In the same way, the elephant domestication which Khmer people have recognized through the red figure-painted ceramics and some statues are at least 1000 B.C.
